Yes. I've had some tell me it takes too much effort to complete their profile. I just don't understand it.

I don't know but some folks are shameless.
I like to verify people that are legit. Recognition is always great.

I can only imagine how many verification requests you get as a 3rd Degree Black Belt. It's got be be frustrating seeing all those incomplete profiles.

I personally think that is a good idea. Those that contribute to the forums are more likely going to be the ones that help this site moving forward.

I has seen many acc, mostly Blue Belt acc incomplete, no Photos at any Belt rank but verified because their Coach confirm or other Black Belt (not their Coach) upvote.
For example in the pics :) no Coach, no Academy, still verified

"no Coach, no Academy, still verified"
They are called Ronin ;)

Can still be a legit belt, despite no home academy currently... But ofc better documentation on ranks should be in order, if they have no coach currently. Also I think joke home cities such as "Everywhere" shouldn't be verified.

I think it’s a cultural thing in a time of instant gratification and instant access to any information/food/online shopping/etc.

I even catch myself having a hard time reading articles instead of just headlines online. Reddit culture :)

But I also think it’s totally fine if they are too lazy to be part of this. It’s kind of on purpose that I’m trying to build something that’s a bit counter to this hectic social media culture. No advertisement, no flashy stuff, no instant gratification. People need to invest some time in doing this right and I kind of like it like that. It’s like sitting down to read a book vs. scrolling through instagrams non-stop suggested videos.

I am enjoying it. I spend quite some time on here everyday to break up the monotony of other social media outlets.

Same here. I find myself spending less time on Facebook and Instagram looking at a lot of stuff I'm not really that interested in.

More users than ever means easier time getting verified. Still a ton of incomplete profiles...

This site is blowing up! There were only a few on this page just the other day. That free IBJJF advertising is really paying off for Beltchecker.com.
