I received my brown belt in December 2016 from David Hart who is a John Will/Machado black belt. I started my BJJ journey in December 1999 when I was 27 under Ivan Rakitic who, at the time, was a blue belt under Peter De Been. Back then, in Australia there were only 2 Black belts in the country, and you were either a Will/Machado, or a De Been/Gracie. I have trained at Dominance in Richmond, Melbourne, Australia since 2004. Attached are photos - various gradings, comps in the early days, and training pics... and our traditional post training "Solo" session (the awesome yellow cans of Gold consumed at the end of each training session by the lucky few). We have a facebook group called "The League of Extraordinary Grapplers ", where we post our heroics.... and all Grapplers are welcome to join.
