Started in 1986 with Kyokushinkai Karate, trained for 3 years. In my early 20s trained Muay Thai for 18 months at Asterix in Eastbourne. Around 24 started Taekwondo, won a British silver medal, trained approx 2 years. Late 20s started Japanese jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing and MMA and trained for a few years until my early 30s. Had kids and quit training for nearly a decade until age 40 in 2017 when I started my BJJ journey.
