I started with Judo in 1986, as a little five-year-old, when my father took me to one of the clubs in Malmö where he himself was active.
Since then I have always practiced judo and my father has always played a big role in my development and my success.
As a Swedish youth and junior champion, I was accepted into the junior national team where I represented Sweden at a junior European Championships. As a senior, I was active in the national team for about ten years and also part of the Swedish Olympic Committee's talent group for the Olympics in Beijing. I have become Swedish and Nordic champion in several different weight classes and I have represented Sweden at two ijf European Championships and one ijf World Championship (Japan 2003). As a master, I took ijf World Championship gold (USA 2012).
When I unfortunately got injured right in the final stages of my Olympic venture, I had to restructure my life situation a bit after surgery. I started studying and at the same time, came across brazilian jiu-jitsu. Over the years, I have developed a very great interest in martial arts and have currently participated in several championships and represented the Swedish national team in additional martial arts such as sports jiu-jitsu, submission wrestling and brazilian jiu-jitsu. I have become Swedish, Nordic, European and World champion in several different martial arts and I can humbly but proudly say that there are not many who can match my martial arts successes. In 2007 I became the first Swede to win an adult ibjjf World Championship, which I did as a blue belt. In 2011 I took ibjjf World Championship silver as an adult bjj brown belt and I still think it stands out as one of the biggest success on the men's side of Swedish BJJ. 2018 I made a comeback to the world stage and took bronze at the jjif World Championships in my hometown of Malmö, Sweden.
I am the head instructor of Viva Zapata Jiu-Jitsu in Stockholm/Sweden and I was also the national team captain for the Swedish BJJ national team 2025.
