Involved in martial arts from early childhood.
As a child I trained karate and Judo in and off until High school.
No formal training for the duration of High school. Just sports mostly football, basketball and track.
After high school I got my black belt in karate (a style of kyokushin and kickboxing). I trained, competed and taught at Tiger Schulmanns for about 10 years about 2002-2012. Mostly competing in submission grappling but some kickboxing as well.
I was competing in the intermediate levels of NAGA and grapplers quest before I ever put on a gi and tried formal Brazilian Jiujitsu.
Around 2006 I was cross training in mma at Tiger Schulmanns and Brazilian Jiujitsu at Serra Bjj. I eventually left Serra BJJ for Soca BJJ where I got all of my ranks from Alexandre “Soca” Freitas.
Around 2012 I parted ways with Tiger Schulmann’s and devoted my time to Brazilian Jiujitsu and getting a Degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology.
At this time I fought a few Muay Thai kickboxing matches and MMA fights. Travelled to Thailand and trained some Muay Thai and MMA out at Tiger Muay Thai and was basically teaching Kickboxing and Jiujitsu fully time along with strength and conditioning. I have coached a good amount of competitors in Brazilian Jiujitsu, kickboxing and MMA as well.
Now I just train for fun. I do some privates for some long time students and teach my daughters as well. I work EMS but love to travel and take my Gi with me wherever I go.
I love meeting new people and going to Academies all over the world.
Hit me up if you ever want to train or talk martial arts. Especially Jiujitsu and Kickboxing. MMA is ok but not my favorite. I like the individual styles better.

Not sure of exact date. It was a Saturday holiday part in 2012. I have no idea where the certificate is.

I got promoted randomly in the middle of class one morning on a weekday. I had trained for years in grappling, judo and mma. I originally started formal Brazilian Jiujitsu at Serra BJJ after a year or so I switched to Soca Brazilian Jiujitsu and asked to just start fresh. One day around 2011 he promoted me to Blue belt. I don’t think I ever even got a certificate.

Not really sure of exact date that I began training Jiujitsu formally. I had many years of nogi and mma before this point but around 2006 I first put on a gi at Serra Brazilian Jiujitsu
