Lineage: Helio Gracie -> Pedro Sauer -> Jon Friedland -> Jeff Sass

I wrestled in high school and in college, after leaving wrestling and graduating college, I needed something to do for my fitness (As I had gotten hideously fat, like life changing fat, like "look ma there's some sort of walrus that escaped from the zoo, should we call the animal catcher?!" kind of fat). I decided to continue grappling and transition to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I didn't have the same style as most wrestlers who converted to BJJ, my style of wrestling is not focused on strength, but timing and technique. That mindset fit in with BJJ and I have been incredibly happy since the change. I am no longer incredibly fat and I'm continuing BJJ to keep it that way and to continue to develop my grappling skills. I train wrestling often at the gym I train at and record videos of some of the moves we go over. I've attached those videos to my profile here.
