Hello! My name is Sarahi Cantu, a purple belt at Parabellum Martial Arts and Strength in Waynesville, MO. My jiujitsu journey began watching from the sidelines as my husband and son attended classes. I was fascinated by the gentle art but intimidated to try. I finally took a chance when my academy started a class only for women in 2019. It was through the fellowship of the women’s class that gave me enough confidence to join the regular classes after a year of training. Brazilian Jiujitsu has given me a platform for personal growth as it has allowed me to work through and heal from past traumas and I continue to increase my confidence and self-esteem. I look forward to my continued growth surrounded by the amazing Professors, coaches, and training partners that Parabellum has to offer.
