| Just to clarify: a 2nd-degree black belt did approve my promotion. But David is my day-to-day coach, and it was important to me that he be the one to tie the belt around my waist. The IBJJF doesn't write the rules for our gym's culture, and honoring my primary coach was the priority. 17 hour(s) ago |
