I fought all over Burma (Myanmar), Thailand, Laos, Cambodia Japan and the United States. Between Lethwei (Burmese Boxing), Thai Boxing and Thaing (Mixed Martial Art) matches I have had 119 Professional fights winning world titles in Lethwei in 3 weight classes during the late 70’s and 80’s, a small stadium championship in Thailand during the early 80’s and several MMA titles in regional organizations in the 90’s
I was a very active professional fighter between the ages of 16 and 26 fighting constantly until breaking my neck in a terrible car accident just after my 26th birthday. I was told would never do anything physical again and rehabbed my body and started The Asylum to pass on the Kachin Systems of fighting. While training others to fight I decided to prove the doctors wrong and fight again.
At the age of 36 I received medical clearance and took my first fight back at GSO 3 held in Atlanta in a Main Event Super Fight against Pride 2 and Reality Super fighting Veteran Juan Mott. I competed a number of other times before deciding to retire and focus on training other fighters.
After battling cancer and getting my health back in February of 2015 at the age of 52 I started competing in No Gi Submission grappling and BJJ tournaments again. Usually the oldest competitor there I competed in a number of weight classes including the Ultra Heavyweight and open divisions. I have been lucky enough to have 3 separate careers coming back twice after doctors had written me off. I have had over 250 matches since turning 52 and at 57 am still competing in professional shows such as Fight 2 Win, Submission Underground, Submission Hunter Pro to name a few. PI have placed at every tournament I have done including a Silver at the IBJJF Masters Worlds, 5 Gold medals at the IBJJF American Nationals and 6 gold medals at the SJJIF Worlds. I have also finished first at numerous NABJJF, NAGA, New Breed, 5 Grappling, and Grappling industries tournaments many times doing multiple divisions including moving up in weight and down to adult to get matches
Teach Lethwei (Burmese Boxing) Naban (Burmese Grappling) and have a BJJ Black Belt under Ricardo Calvalcanti and have dabbled in other grappling and striking styles such as Sambo and Muay Thai. .
