I am not excluding our civilian brothers and sisters who have not been in the service of their country in the military, or a country. I promise! This is a introduction to everyone however, I would like to show my gratitude to my fellow brothers and sisters who have been in the service of their country in the military. Maybe you served in your country, other than the United States.
I was a Navy man. I served mostly as a medic with the U.S. Marines. Marines do not have their own medics. Historically, the Navy has always provided corpsmen to Marines for their medical needs on the battlefield. This is what I was.
I wanted to say hello. I wanted to introduce myself. I wanted to meet others on this platform who decided to join the military. If you get the opportunity, say hello!

I am a current employee of the Air Force. I am a civilian firefighter. It is my pleasure to make you acquaintance R. David! Great photos!
I was enlisted in the Army Reserve as a PSYOP Specialist (37F so spent more time on active duty than reserve duty ironically) and later commissioned in the Active Army as a Signal Officer (25A). This is me with 3rd Battalion, 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division (Airborne) at Camp Fallujah, Iraq in early 2007.
I am Vern Jensen - a 27-year Navy Veteran (1992-2019). I was an aircraft carrier catapult and arresting gear technician/Chief for 11-years prior to serving as a Navy Officer for 16-years. in my last few tours/deployments, I was fortunate enough to be in positions that afforded me the opportunity to install Jiu Jitsu into my command physical/mental wellness programs. Just as you all knew it would, it transformed the commands.

Ha! Good-to-go! I was at the Mech (Camp Fallujah) in 2005-2006. I was based or my unit ran operations out of there. It is a pleasure!

Congratulations on your career and retirement from service in the Navy! I went medium-long in the canoe club myself. I did 14 years and 7 months. It is my pleasure!
"I MEF or maybe RCT5 ? We were under them until the swapped with II MEF and we fell under RCT6. We were out by the MLRS in the old MEK area."
I believe it was regimental combat team 7. I am not sure. 1st Reconnaissance Bn was my unit. Our rear area of our compound was located near the laundry area. 1st was back there again (COPs) in June of 2007, but my unit (a platoon detachment) was in support of 13th MEU, and 1st MEF along with other units associated.
